Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest 2026

The 58th annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest runs September 25 through October 17, 2026, spanning three weeks of events across five partner German Clubs (Concordia, Alpine, Schwaben, Hubertushaus, Transylvania) and downtown Kitchener. Widely cited as the second-largest Oktoberfest in the world after Munich, it draws hundreds of thousands of attendees. Marquee moments include the official Keg Tapping (October 9, 12 pm – 1 pm), the outdoor Willkommen Platz biergarten in downtown Kitchener (October 9–11), KIDtoberfest family programming, sporting tournaments, and the nationally televised Thanksgiving Day Parade on October 12 at 9:30 am. Programming spans Bavarian food and Festbier, polka and accordion music, and a strong Ontario craft-beer overlap as regional breweries release Oktoberfest lagers and Märzens each fall.
