How to Find Craft Beer Events Near You in Canada
A practical guide to discovering craft-beer festivals, tap takeovers, brewery releases and tastings in your city — without doom-scrolling Facebook groups.
Start with a city or province hub, not a search box
The fastest way to see what's happening in your area is a city or province hub, not a keyword search. Search results skew toward the largest festivals and drown out the small brewery-night events that make up most of the actual calendar. A hub page shows everything on our calendar for that place, filtered by nothing.
Every Canadian province has its own hub, and every editorialized city has a hub with venue districts and brewery notes. See the full list on Cities, or jump straight to a hub — the pattern is /events/<province-slug> and /events/<province-slug>/<city-slug>.
Filter by what you actually want, not what's popular
Every hub has a sidebar filter: pick the event types you care about (Festivals, Tap Takeovers, Beer Releases, Tastings, Live Music, Trivia, Tours, Brewery Anniversaries, Community events), a date window (Today, This Weekend, Next 7, Next 30), and Free-only if that's a priority. The filter is instant and doesn't reload the page.
Sort matters too. Cheapest first is a good move for a quiet Tuesday; Featured first is how you find events an editor has vouched for; Soonest is the default and it's usually what you want.
Get the Friday email — it saves the most time
The single biggest workflow win is the weekly digest — a Friday-morning email listing craft-beer events happening across Canada Friday through Monday. Double-opt-in signup takes about 20 seconds; one click to unsubscribe if it stops being useful.
Cross-check the map for anything you'd have to drive to
The Map view puts every geocoded event on a Canada-wide map. Zoom to your region, click a pin for the event card, decide if the drive is worth it. It's on every hub as a Show map toggle in the filter bar, and it's the whole point of the standalone /map page.
When something is missing, submit it
We're a small team and event calendars change. If you know about a brewery night or festival that isn't on our calendar, hit Submit an Event — organizer submissions are reviewed by an editor and usually published within 24 hours. Same goes for corrections: every event page has a Report incorrect details button at the bottom.
